KAMIAKIN 76, SOUTHRIDGE 33: Isaiah Brimmer scored 18 points, Garrett Paxton recorded seven steals and four assists to go along with his 14 points, and the host Braves steamrolled the Suns in MCC play.
Like most teams around the area, Southridge and Kamiakin were hampered by a slew of canceled practices this week — a fact that mostly came to fruition in the combined 35 turnovers and 18.1 shooting percentage from 3-point range.
“We just keep losing weeks of our practices. We’ve lost chunks of three weeks over the season,” Kamiakin coach Brian Meneely said. “The only fortunate thing was that Southridge and us were dealing with the same thing, so we were able to work through it.”
Adiran Singleton was Southridge’s leading scorer with eight points, which he achieved by knocking down all four of his field goal attempts.
